PRODUCT FEATURES
- This product is a coating material, which prevents water penetration into the substrate
- Applied in several layers and strengthened with a suitable woven material (where required) it forms a thick protective membrane for sealing roofs & walls
- Available in several colours as well as white
- This product is based on a highly flexible and water-resistant acrylic resin emulsion
- Applied to specification it seals concrete roofs and walls preventing water penetration
- This product remains highly flexible for years even after extended exposure to the environment
- Besides its main use on concrete roofs, this product can be successfully applied on galvanized sheeting, roofing felt and Fibre cement as well as walls where craze cracking is prevalent
- This product is ideal for repair work on roofs such as sealing nail heads, leaking Flashing and repairing damaged and cracked roofing felt or cracked walls

- White and pastel colours also have the added benefit of being heat-reflective, thereby reducing room temperatures (especially for metal roofs)

APPLICATION DETAILS
- Mixing: Always stir well before use with a flat paddle
- Application Method: Brush, roller or airless spray machine
- Thinning: This product is ready for use un-thinned; thinning with water will reduce its strength
- Cleaning: Application equipment clean-up is with clean tap water
APPLICATION
For Brush or Roller Application
- Stir well before use
- Apply a generous/thick coat of product to the area that needs protecting in small manageable sections
- Allow to dry for 4-6 hours before applying another coat
- 1 - 2 coats of this product are used for the best results. A third coat is recommended for coastal areas
- Do not apply before 09:00 and after 16:00 in the winter
- Do not apply if the temperature is 12 degrees Celsius or lower
- Do not apply exterior if it looks like rain will occur within 4-6 hours of application
For Spray Application
- Do not dilute – order product spray ready
- Apply 2 coats and allow for 2 hours of drying time between coats to achieve maximum penetration. Add 4 hours of drying time for application in cold weather.
- Apply a second coat to ensure that the surface is properly coated
SURFACE PREPARATION
Rusted Metal
- Affected areas need to be cleaned back to bright metal and spot-primed with water-based metal primer
- Remove collected sand and dust from the area
- Apply 1-2 coats of product
New Metal
- De-grease surfaces with a good quality Degreaser to remove the manufacturer’s grease protective layer. This process is repeated until the surface is water-break-free
- Prime the clean de-greased metal with a water-based metal primer
- Rinse well with potable water
- Apply 1-2 coats of product
Uncoated Cement / Plaster Surfaces
- Remove dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth
- Fill all visible cracks and seal with a suitable plaster primer
- Apply 1-2 coats of product
Fibre Cement Surfaces (Uncoated/Weathered/New)
- Remove dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth
- Fill all visible cracks and seal with a suitable plaster primer
- Apply 1-2 coats of product
Previously Painted Surfaces
- Make sure old paint coatings are firm and solid
- Remove all loose, flaking and bubbling paint
- Remove all dust, grease, foreign material, fungal and algae growth
- Allow to dry
- If then powdery or friable, seal with a suitable bonding liquid or plaster primer
- Test the product for adhesion on high-gloss enamel surfaces
- If required apply 1 coat of universal undercoat and allow to dry for 6 hours before over-coating with the product
- Apply 1-2 coats of product
OTHER INFORMATION
SPREADING RATE
- 3-5m² per 1 litre (per coat)
- Although the spreading rate will vary with porosity and type of substrate
- For un-coated new surfaces work on 3-5 square meters per litre for the first coat and 6-8 square meters per litre for subsequent coats
- For previously painted and sealed substrates work on 3-5 square meters per litre for the first coat and 6-8 square meters per litre for subsequent coats
- Do not exceed 4m² per litre when applying as a 1-coat system
DRYING TIME
- Touch dry: + 1 hour
- Hard dry: + 4-6 hours
