APPLICATION
- Mixing: Always stir well with a flat paddle before use
- Application Method: Brush, roller, or spray machine
- Thinning: Not recommended. This product is ready for use undiluted; but can be thinned with 8-10% water
- Cleaning: Clean equipment with water.
For Brush or Roller Application:
- Apply 3 coats of Yeka Leaks Liquid Rubber Sealer to achieve maximum penetration allowing 3 hours of drying time between coats, and an additional 4 hours in cold, wet weather
- Porous surfaces may require an additional coat to ensure the surface is properly coated
For Airless Spray Gun Application:
- Dilute with no more than 10% by volume with water
- Apply 3 coats of Yeka Leaks Liquid Rubber Sealerto achieve maximum penetration allowing 3 hours of drying time between coats, and an additional 4 hours in cold, wet weather
- Porous surfaces may require an additional coat to ensure the surface is properly coated
SURFACE PREPARATION
Steel & Galvanised Structures
- Remove all rust with a good quality rust remover, scrub, and rinse thoroughly with water
- Heavily rusted areas should be sandblasted to remove all existing paint and primed
- Remove dust, foreign material, grease, and oil with Yeka Leaks Degreaser
- Scrub with a hard broom or wire brush and wash off thoroughly with clean water
- Ensure that the surface is sound and dry before painting
- Apply 3 coats of Yeka Leaks Liquid Rubber Sealer to achieve maximum penetration allowing 3 hours of drying time between coats, and an additional 4 hours in cold, wet weather
- Porous surfaces may require an additional coat to ensure the surface is properly coated
Previously Painted Surfaces
- Ensure old paint coatings are firm and solid
- Remove all loose, flaking, and bubbling paint with a paint stripper, and rinse thoroughly with water
- Treat rusted areas with a good quality rust remover using a wire or hard bristle brush or broom. Rinse with water.
- Remove dust, oil, grease, and other foreign materials with a degreaser, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry
- Ensure that the surface is sound and dry before painting
- Apply primer and leave to dry
- Apply 3 coats of Yeka Leaks Liquid Rubber Sealer to achieve maximum penetration allowing 3 hours of drying time between coats, and an additional 4 hours in cold, wet weather
- Porous surfaces may require an additional coat to ensure the surface is properly coated
Fibre-Cement, Cement Tiles, and Granular Tiles
- Remove all dust, dirt and loose granules, friable and powdery material with a high-pressure water jet or scrub down with a degreaser and a wire or hard bristle brush and water
- Prime with one coat bonding liquid and allow to dry for 2 hours
- Apply 3 coats of Yeka Leaks Liquid Rubber Sealer to achieve maximum penetration allowing 3 hours of drying time between coats, and an additional 4 hours in cold, wet weather
- Porous surfaces may require an additional coat to ensure the surface is properly coated

SPREADING RATE
- 2m2 per 1l application on 100 microns per coat
- Coverage will depend on the porosity of the surface and application method
