APPLICATION
- Mixing: Always stir well before use with a flat paddle
- Application Method: Brush, roller, spatula or trowel
- Thinning: Not recommended, this product is ready for use
- Cleaning: Clean application equipment with water, do not allow the product to dry on the equipment
For Brush, Roller, Spatula or Trowel Application:
- Apply a thick/generous amount of Fibre Paste to the area that requires sealing
- Apply in small, manageable sections to achieve proper penetration
- Allow to dry for 60 – 90 minutes depending on the temperature and thickness of Fibre Paste applied
SURFACE PREPARATION
Steel and Galvanized Structures
- Remove grease, oil, and other contaminants with a good quality degreasing solution.
- Use a wire brush or sandpaper to remove any rust. For heavily rusted areas, consider using a rust converter.
- Wash the surface with a mild detergent or a pressure washer to remove any remaining residue. Rinse thoroughly and let dry.
- Ensure the surface is in good condition before applying the next coat.
- Wait 60-90 minutes between coats, depending on the temperature and the thickness of Fibre Paste applied
Unpainted and Weathered Surfaces
- Scrape off any loose or flaking material and use a wire brush to clean the surface.
- Use a pressure washer or scrub with a stiff brush and cleaner to remove dirt, algae, and other contaminants.
- Ensure that the surface is sound and dry before applying Fibre Paste
- Fill and repair cracks or holes with Fibre Paste.
- Allow to cure for ±60 - 90 minutes between coats, depending on temperature and the thickness of Fibre Paste applied
Fibre-cement, Cement Tiles and Granular Tiles
- Remove all dust, dirt and loose granules, friable and powdery material with a high-pressure water jet or scrub down with a hard bristle or wire brush and water
- Ensure that the surface is sound and dry before applying Fibre Paste
- Apply a thick/generous amount of Fibre Paste to the area that needs sealing/protecting
- Apply in small manageable sections to achieve maximum penetration
- Allow to cure for 60 - 90 minutes, depending on the temperature and the thickness of Fibre Paste applied
